Have you ever been to River Street in Savannah, Georgia? If not, the place to visit in Savannah is the Old Town. The Old Town is very historic dating back to its founding in 1733 on the Savannah River. River Street is a very popular destination with its view of the Port of Savannah and the many restaurants that are available. Also, on River Street you can take a dinner cruise on the Georgia Queen paddle boat or take a boat tour on the other tours that are offered.

While on River Street, you can dine, relax, ride on a tram, or shop for souvenirs.

As you venture away from River Street, explore the old town. Enjoy a stroll down Broughton Street or visit City Market. There are plenty of things to do.

Now for accommodations, you have choices of hotels or bed and breakfast. Make sure you stay in a hotel in the old town so you can put away the vehicle and walk. Everything is basically within walking distance and you do not want to miss an opportunity to walk in the squares and enjoy the historic architecture.

Now, if you want to get away from the town and head to the beach, visit Tybee Island. Tybee Island is about 15 to 20 minutes from the Savannah, Georgia Location and is a beautiful, popular destination for tourists and locals.
